Following a successful corporate career as an Executive Assistant and Events Planner in Local Government, and the demanding environment of the City of London, and driven by a desire for a less high-pressure career and a deep passion for fitness and Yoga, I transitioned professionally to become a certified Yoga Instructor in 2015.
I founded the G.M. YOGA Studio in 2016, quickly scaling the studio into a highly reputable local business. The studio's sustained excellence was formally recognized, receiving accolades such as Yoga Instructor of the Month (Global Health & Pharma Magazine, April 2017) and consistent placements among the best yoga studios in Buckinghamshire by both Bucks Free Press and Muddy Stilettos.
My focus shifted in October 2023 with a strategic move toward semi-retirement from full-time teaching to launching a never seen before Yoga product. I secured a registered design for the Yoga Band, a unique yoga prop. I now lead the growth of my e-commerce business, www.yogabandshop.com, while maintaining a reduced schedule of classes and retreats.
My teaching philosophy is that Yoga is for everyone, and every kind of body.
My approach is centered on breaking down the barriers often associated with yoga and fitness that can make the practice feel intimidating or out of reach. I firmly believe the incredible benefits of mindful movement and self-care should be accessible to all.
Class Structure: My sessions are designed for mixed ability student, welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels. I teach with a light-hearted, fun, and explorative approach, always adapting poses and offering alternatives to suit individual needs and comfort levels.
An Open Invitation: If you are considering yoga, please be assured: you absolutely do not have to be flexible to start. My priority is creating a relaxed environment where you feel encouraged to challenge yourself and try new things—but only when you are ready. I will motivate you to explore your boundaries, but I will never push you beyond your comfort zone. My fundamental aim for every participant is simple: to enjoy the experience, improve fitness, and find true relaxation and peace of mind.
The Transformation: Personally, yoga has been a catalyst for profound clarity and discipline, teaching me the value of calmness, energy conservation, and gratitude. Sharing this transformative practice is my mission; if I can impart some of these benefits to even one person I teach, that would be the highest reward.
