My Teaching Philosophy is that Yoga is for Everyone, and Every Kind of Body

My Journey to the Mat

Following a fulfilling yet exhausting chapter working in the City, I decided to step away and honor a long-held passion for yoga, gaining my teaching qualification in 2015. This journey led me to launch G.M. YOGA in 2016. After a wonderful few years of operating my own Yoga studio, I transitioned away from a fixed venue to bring yoga directly into the community. Today, I am proud to share my practice through mixed-ability yoga classes in Wooburn Green, Henley-on-Thames, and Skirmett in the Hambleden Valley.

"I believe yoga should be an uplifting journey rather than a rigid routine. I teach in a light-hearted, fun, and explorative manner—creating a space where you can smile, curious-mindedly explore what your body can do, and enjoy the movement without any pressure to be perfect."

My aim is that everyone should feel welcome, no matter your age, experience, or fitness background. I teach with clarity, care, and encouragement, providing a highly supportive setting that is particularly welcoming to beginners. I'm here to help you feel entirely supported as you discover exactly what mindful movement can offer you.

Innovation Rooted in Care: The Yoga Band

In 2023, inspired by students who needed extra support in certain postures, I created the Yoga Band—a unique, wearable yoga strap designed to make movement feel more achievable, comfortable, and accessible. With the Yoga Band, students can safely reach postures they once thought were out of reach. Sharing those breakthrough moments and gradual achievements with my students remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

“My aim is simple: to help you move well, feel at ease, build confidence, and leave class feeling a little calmer than when you arrived.”

An Open Invitation to You

If you are thinking about trying yoga for the first time, please know this: you do not need to be flexible to begin. My role is to create a relaxed, encouraging space where you can explore movement safely, try new things at your own pace, and build trust in your own body.

Yoga has brought so much clarity, balance, and peace into my life, alongside a deep sense of gratitude, and sharing those benefits with others is at the heart of everything I teach. If you leave my class feeling a little stronger, steadier, or more peaceful, then my greatest goal has been achieved.
