Turn off your devices to give yourself the best chance of relaxing. The focus for this blissful day, is not only to relax, whilst gently stretching and opening the body, but to step away from our frantic lives and go inward - giving you a sense of peace and calm in a busy world - a state of non doing - total relaxation.

Arrival and welcome refreshments  at 10am

There will be no sweating or vigorous Vinyasa on this retreat.  The intention is to nourish and heal the mind and body. We will start the day with a gentle practice - a combination of Yin and Restorative Yoga. Traditional Thai massage and body work by my guest Allesandra will be incorporated into the routine to release deep layers of tension and to nuture the soul.

Lunch will be a very casual affair.  A light tasty vegan lunch will be provided at the venue.  There will be a short light discussion on journaling, and it's benefits, and the chance to journal over lunch if you wish.

The Hambleden Valley is renowned not only for the beautiful countryside views, so after lunch -  you will enjoy a sensory forest-based experience - with a beautiful scenic walk to woodland where we will practice Forest Bathing (no bathtubs or water are involved), and optional Grounding (walking barefoot).  We will be out for up to two hours (even if it rains), so please bring appropriate outdoor attire, and a small towel if you wish to walk barefoot.  If you're lucky we may spot some deer, pheasants and barn owls.  Nature is all around the Hambleden Valley.

After our country walk - we will head back to the venue for an optional warm drink/refreshments, and then round up the day with a Yoga Nidra (guided sensory meditation/yogic sleep).

You will then literally float home.

We all have hectic lives in one way or another - how often do you allow yourself the time to just be? The intention of this retreat is for you to just let yourself be - to nurture, sooth, and bring comfort and deep relaxation to your mind, body, and spirit.
